MKE Week 17/17HJ – ‘Hero?’ ~ Year 2

The hero’s journey. Hero? Me?

  • Hero: 1. a person, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. 2. “Any person who tries to improve the world has courage, is a hero

How to be the hero in your own journey? We have to slay our OWN dragons. You need to decide, old blueprint – refusing self or new blueprint – future self. Figuring this out will be a life defining moment!! WE have to learn to carve our own pathway and to be the architect of our OWN mind. We have to learn how to surrender and as we are going through our journey; the right people and the resources will show UP!

And power to him who power exerts; Give more; Get more!!

** Giving of yourself; gives you power! The power of thought; give this to yourself! Strengthen the power within. Focus on what YOU WANT! **

‘You can’t light others path; without lighting your own. 🙂

We need to learn to live in Abundance! Believing in Abundance! Focus on Abundance! Give yourself permission to be Happy! Give Joy, Happiness, Kindness LIFE!! Speak them out loud!!I am not my past. I am not living it anymore. Stop giving negative thought and power. Don’t speak them ~ 80% is awareness; 20% is our old blueprint. Program your new habit! Visualize it, Imagine it, Create it and Innovate it!!

Haanel 17:28 – You may be pursing the symbols of power, instead of power itself. You may be pursuing fame instead of honor, riches instead of wealth, position instead of servitude; in either event you will find that they turn to ashes just as you overtake them.

Your true self (authentic) can be of ‘service’ to others. Go out and be your hero!!

MKE Week 16 – Life is Growth, and Growth is Change ~ Year 2

In OG (Introduction); 3rd paragraph, Each seven year period takes us into a new cycle. the first seven years is the period of infancy; the next seven , the period of childhood representing the beginning of individual responsibility. The next seven representing the period of adolescence. The fourth period marks the attainment of full growth. The fifth period  is the constructive period, the men began to acquire property, possessions, a home and family. The next, from 35 to 42, is a period of reactions and changes, and this in turn is followed by a period of reconstruction, adjustment and recuperation, so as to be ready for a new cycle of sevens, beginning with the fiftieth year.

**Those familiar with these cycles will not be disturbed when things seem to go wrong, but can apply the principles outlined in these lessons with the full assurance that a higher law will invariably control all other laws, and that through an understanding and conscious operation of spiritual laws, we can convert every seeming difficulty into a blessing.**

Prentice Mulford said: “The man of success is the man possessed of the greatest spiritual understanding, and every great fortune comes of superior and truly spiritual power.”

When I read this, I instantly think of the sit. We have to be still, listen and connect within our own spiritual being. Connecting with the universe, vibration and our inner soul is all apart of our connection within the world. Being aware of the beautiful things, trees, wind, sounds, kindness, stillness…..etc, helps us become part of this. Part of the universe. I AM natures GREATEST miracle! I have felt and seen the growth inside of me and because of embracing this, I can see CHANGE! Changing is a part of life. Change is good. Change is beautiful! We should never fear change. By learning to embrace growth, change and being in touch with the vibrations of the universe, I see my connections with people changing; in a beautiful way. They are deeper in meaning and I am trusting the process and being vulnerable in giving more of myself.

Embrace the change! Go Set The World on Fire!! 🙂

MKE Week 15 – “Kindness = Intelligence” ~ Year 2

WOW!! This three letter word can barely discribe how I feel internally! I have found myself just sitting still and become overwhelmed with beautiful emotions. I was raised to be kind, respectful to others. So, being kind to others was naturally easy. But, I decided to take it to another level and step out of my comfort zone and give more ‘Love.’ This is what has happened since I’ve started this;

  • A girl in my office did not have any money, so I told her I would buy her lunch. 🙂 I told her that, ‘My Momma raised me right.’
    • The next day she brought me in a banana and orange.
  • I went to Starbucks and ordered a Trenta cold brew with vanilla sweet cream.
    • When I went to pay, the girl had made the wrong size. I got a free Venti cold brew. Then was only charged only for the price of a Venti.
  • A girl in my office stops at Dunkin’ Donuts every day. So, when I feel like I ‘need’ another coffee I will text her and she brings me in a coffee. Then she usually will not take my money.
    • So, I decided to go buy her a gift card for Dunkin’ Donuts.
  • I’ve decided to buy gift cards to give out to random people. 🙂
  • I’ve always prayed for people that are close to me. But, I’ve started to pray for people that I don’t really know.
  • I am trying to say ‘Hi‘ to everyone I meet.
  • One day I arrived to work; running a few minutes behind. As I was getting ready stuff out of my car, I could see a young man looking at me from another car a few spots over. As I started walking into work, he approached me.
    • I stopped, even though I knew I was late. He started asking me questions about God. At the end of the conversation. I thanked him for taking the time to talk to me and to keep on passing out the ‘Love.’ He ‘Blessed‘ me.
  • “HUG FRIDAY” – (Love this one). I was overcome when I walked into work. I felt the need to give out hugs.
    • When I walked into my office, I announced, ‘It’s HUG FRIDAY’ and proceeded to walk around and give hugs to everyone in the office. The experience was beautiful.
  • Sending inspirational texts and listening to a friend who has been struggling in life.
    • She has told me that she is getting stronger. She went on to say that I am her ‘Sunshine.’

I could continue. 🙂

Taking the extra step to be kind is so much rewarding than keeping it to yourself. I am becoming more vulnerable. Which is a huge step for me.

I stumbled across an article written by – ‘Goodness Takes Intelligence: “Why Kind People are the Smartest of All.” Here is the opening sentence.

  • If you think “nice” is just a synonym for “naive,” think again! According to one major brain expert, “goodness” is one of the greatest signs of intelligence.

What I have found, is that the more ‘love‘, ‘kindness‘ I give. I see my universe changing. I am seeing what I WANT my universe to be. It is coming back to me. I tear up just thinking about how beautiful this is. The feeling inside is incredible!

I ask you today, go out and do something kind. Embrace that feeling. Your kindness will spread.

MKE Week 14 – “Row the Boat” ~ Year 2

I was born in Minnesota and love the Vikings, Twins & Gophers. The Gophers have a new coach by the name of PJ Fleck. This man is turning the organization around. This man has enthusiasm, guts, fire, intensity and unity! Let me share a little about this man’s life, and mantra.

Screen Shot 2020-01-18 at 12.49.05 PM              Screen Shot 2020-01-18 at 12.51.18 PM

PJ Fleck and his wife Tracie lost their son, Colt, shortly after birth due to a heart defect. He could have continued to go down the road of despair, but instead decided to keep moving forward. Everyone takes part, in times of greatest success and the worst failures, and keeps rowing. It’s more than a motto that Fleck, and his family live by. It’s a philosophy and a way of life.

Let me explain ‘Row the Boat.’ (Never Give Up Mantra)

  1. The Oar – this is the energy you bring to your life, family, relationships and work. It is the only thing that moves the boat.
  2. The Boat – this is the sacrifice. What are you willing to give up for something you’ve never had. A lot of people want things and need thing but aren’t willing to give up certain things to get things.
  3. The Compass – this is the direction of your life. Set by the leader of your life but also who you surround yourself with. If you surround yourself with elite people, you will go and do elite things. If you surround yourself with bad people, you will get caught up with some bad situations.

See, when you row the boat, your back is to the future. Can’t see it, can’t control it. You don’t even know what’s coming. You don’t know what calm seas or that storms are ahead of you. You just continue to keep your oar in the water; present because that is the only thing you can control. You decide if you pull your oars out of the water and quit and become a failure or you continue to learn from your failing. Continue to row the boat but you’re looking at the past which is the only thing you cannot change but you can learn from. See when you row the boat everyone has to be in a straight line, everyone has to be rowing in the same direction, speed, and the same efficiency to get to point A to point B in the most sufficient fastest way possible.

Row the Boat ~ PJ Fleck (Click the link for video)

Wow!! This is very inspiration and we can all relate to failures, and our past. We have the  decision to continue to move forward and persist or stay in our past failures or disappointments.

In OG Mandino – Scroll 1, page 53: The career I have chosen is laden with opportunity yet it is fraught with heartbreak and despair and the bodies of those who have failed, were they piled one atop another, would cast a shadow down upon all the pyramids of the earth.

Yet I will not fail, as the others, for in my hands I now hold the charts which will guide me through perilous waters to shores which only yesterday seemed but a dream.

Failure no longer will be my payment for struggle. Just as nature made no provision for my body to tolerate pain neither has it made any provision for my life to suffer failure. Failure, like pain, is alien to my life. In the past I accepted it as I accepted pain. Now I reject it and I am prepared for wisdom and principles which will guide me out of the shadows into the sunlight of wealth, position, and happiness far beyond my most extravagant dreams until even the golden apples in the Garden of Hesperides will seem no more than my just reward.

Charles Haanel 6:20The power of attention can be more readily understood by comparing it with a magnifying glass in which the rays of sunlight are focused; they possess no particular strength as long as the glass is moved out and the rays directed from one place to another; but let the glass be held perfectly still and let the rays be focused on one spot for any length of time, the effect will become immediately apparent.

MKE Week 13 – ‘How Strong is Your Creative Power?’ ~ Year 2

How creative are you? In the world we have ‘daydreamers’ and ‘action takers.’ Both are creative in approach, but only one will move forward with the ‘creative‘ things they think about.

Haanel 14: 133 – Where does the creative power of thought originate ? In the Universal Mind.

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world. ~ Albert Einstein

Screen Shot 2020-01-11 at 1.34.36 PM

Haanel 13:23 – Thought is a spiritual activity and is therefore creative, but make no mistake; thought will create nothing unless it is consciously, systematically, and constructively directed; and herein is the difference between idle thinking, which is simply a dissipator of effort and constructive thinking, which means practically unlimited achievement.

Haanel 14:7 – Creative power goes not originate in the individual, but in the Universal, which is the source and fountain of all energy and substance; the individual is simply the channel for the distribution of this energy. The individual is the means by which the Universal produces the various combinations which result in the formation of phenomena.

Haanel 14:19 – Back of every effect there is a cause, and if we flow the trail to its starting point, we shall find the creative principle out of which it grew.

Haanel 14:26 – Thought is the only reality; conditions are but the outward manifestations. As the thought changes, all outward or material conditions must change in order to be in harmony with their creator, which is thought.

Haanel 14:27 – But the thought must be clear cut, steady, fixed, definite, unchangeable. You cannot take one step forward and two steps backward, neither can you spend twenty or thirty years of your life building up negative conditions as the result of negative thoughts, and then expect to see them all melt away as the result of fifth or twenty minutes of right thinking.

Have you sat back and watched your life? Others lives? Do you see your drama? Others drama? Do you see the results of that drama? We create our own thoughts and results. Observe the Power of Attraction! Start making new and positive connections and watch your results change!!

Haanel 13:12 – First, we may say, it is not so, which is simply an acknowledgement of our lack of information because every honest investigator admits that there are many strange and previously unaccountable phenomena constantly taking place. Those, however, who become acquainted  with the creative power of thought, will no longer consider them unaccountable.

Haanel 13:13 – Second, we may say that they are the result of supernatural interference, but a scientific understanding of Natural Laws will convince us that there is nothing supernatural. Every phenomenon is the result of an accurate definite cause, and the cause is an immutable law or principle which operates with invariable precision, whether the law is put into operation consciously or unconsciously.

MKE Week 12 – “Love” ~ Year 2

So many of us struggle with the word, Love. Growing up I use to tell myself, ‘don’t say that word unless you mean it.’ As, I’ve gotten older, I have come to realize that ‘LOVE,’ is more than just a word. Love is action. Sometimes, it’s just the smallest of things.

I have a friend that recently lost her mother (a mother the she was very close to) very quickly, unexpectedly. Even though she is strong and has great Faith. I could still feel her pain. She is learning to live a ‘new normal.’ In attending her mothers wake. I could feel and see the ‘love.’ There were so many people there! It was so moving, beautiful!

Haanel 15:10 – In order to possess vitality, though must be impregnated with love. Love is a product of the emotions. It is therefor essential that the emotions be controlled and guided by the intellect and reason.

Haanel 15:11 – It is love which impart vitality to thought and thus enables it to germinate. The law of attraction or the law of love — for are one and the same, and will bring to it the necessary material for its growth and maturity.

I am learning how to love, with action and not just saying the word!! This course has shown and taught me so much! I love my new improved self!! 🙂

“Think truly, and thy thoughts

Shall the world’s famine feed;

Speak truly, and each word of thine

Shall be a fruitful seed;

Live truly, and thy life shall be

A great and noble creed.”

MKE Week 11 – ‘The Struggle’ ~ Year 2

How many times have we heard this phrase, ‘The Struggle is real?’ I feel like I am at a crossroad in life; like I’m in a holding pattern. I’m not sure what to do. I have slacked on my homework, but I continue to find myself coming back to the MKE!

OG Mandino has really touched me this week. The paragraphs below have strengthened me!

I was not delivered unto this world in defeat, not does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep writing to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a LION and I REFUSE to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny.

The prizes of life are at the end of each journey, not near the beginning; and it is not given to me to know how many steps are necessary in order to reach my goal. Failure I may still encounter at the thousandth step, yet success hides behind the next bend in the road. Never will I know how close it lies unless I turn the corner.

Always will I take another step. If that is of no avail I will take another, and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is not too difficult.

I will PERSIST until I SUCCEED!!

I will NEVER consider defeat and I will remove from my vocabulary such words and phrases as quit, cannot, unable, impossible, out of the question, improbable, failure, unworkable, hopeless, and retreat; for they are the words of fools. I will avoid despair but if this disease of the mind should infect me then I will work on in despair. I will toil and I will endure. I will ignore the obstacles at my feet and keep mine eyes on the goals above my head, for I know that where dry desert ends, green grass grows.

I will PERSIST until I SUCCEED!!!

I will try, and try, and try again. Each obstacle I will consider as a mere detour to my goal and a challenge to my profession. I will persist and develop my skills as the mariner develops his, by learning to ride out the wrath of each storm.

I will PERSIST until I SUCCEED!!!!

Henceforth, I will learn and apply another secret of those who excel in my work. When each day is ended, not regarding whether it has been a success or a failure, I will attempt to achieve one more sale. When my thoughts beckon my tired body homework I will resist the temptation to depart. I will try again. I will make one more attempt to close with victory, and if that fails I will make another. Never will I allow any day to end with a  failure. Thus will I PLANT the SEED of TOMORROW’S SUCCESS and GAIN AN INSURMOUNTABLE ADVANTAGE OVER THOSE WHO CEASE THEIR LABOR AT A PRESCRIBED TIME. When others cease their struggle, then mine will begin, and my HARVEST will be FULL.

I will PERSIST until I SUCCEED!!!!!

Nor will allow yesterday’s success to lull me into today’s complacency, for this is the great foundation of failure. I will forget the happenings of the day that is gone, whether they were good or bad, and greet this new sun with CONFIDENCE that this will be the BEST DAY of MY LIFE!

So long as there is breath in me, that long will I PERSIST. For now I know one of GREATEST PRINCIPLES of SUCCESS; if I PERSIST long enough I will WIN!

I will WIN!

MKE Week 10 – ‘Seed of Success’ ~ Year 2

“I will persist until I succeed!” This is the first sentence in OG Mandino ~ Scroll III. This starts the affirmation of success – persist! With all of the struggles from my old blueprint the last couple of weeks, the word,  ‘persist‘ continues to jump out at me! I have the power to ‘plant’ what I want in my soil. If I continue to do nothing, nothing will grow. If I plant that seed, water it, care for it it; it will grow!

It reads in OG, page 66. ‘Never will I allow any day to end with a failure. Thus will I plant the seed of tomorrow’s success and gain an insurmountable advantage over those who cease their labor at a prescribed time. When others cease their struggle, then mine will begin, and my harvest will be full’.

Page 67. ‘I will persist until I SUCCEED. Nor will I allow yesterday’s complacency, for this is the great foundation of failure. I will forget the happenings of the day that is gone, whether they were good of bad, and greet the new sun with confidence that this will be the best day of my life.

So long as there is breath in me, that long will I persist. For now I know one of the greatest principles of success; if I persist long enough I will win.

I will persist

I will win.’

MKE Week 9 – ‘TRUTH’ ~ Year 2

What do I want? How many times have we thought about this through life?? MANY times! Right? This is my second year going through the course, I will tell you that besides chipping away at the cement from all of the years of ‘stuff,’ that ‘TRUTH‘ has been this year’s word for me. When we come into truth for ourselves, we are set FREE!

Just like rubbing Aladdins lamp for things hoped for……I am using the lamp to put my struggles, challenges into. As I think about something I need to release, I rub the lamp, speak over it in a positive way, and just release it! After releasing it, I say, ‘I AM whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, and happy!!!!! Remember in the Disney movie, ‘Aladdin,’ he sets the Genie free from the lamp. Grant yourself these wishes. Be free!! Bye problems! I am creating new peptides.

MKE Week 8 – ‘Awareness’ ~ Year 2

I have been struggling the last few weeks, and I find it very hard to be vulnerable. 🙂 So, in saying that, I feel safe opening up to this ‘SPECIAL‘ group. I am a very protective person, as far as, who I let become my circle, who I trust, and who I open my heart up too. I found it hard to say, ‘I love you’ to people I didn’t know. My mind has always said, ‘Don’t say that word, unless you mean it!’ Well, I put ‘I love you’ on my Plan of Action card, and say it to everyone I interact with throughout the day. I say it while driving, I say it under my breathe or in my mind at work. It has become easier to ‘love‘ people, and it feels GOOD!! This awareness of being vulnerable is helping me to open up more to people, to let them see me, the ‘real’ me.

Screen Shot 2019-11-28 at 10.00.59 AM

I appreciate this group, the support, the love, and ALL the differences! WE are LOVE! Can you please support me in my dreams? My hopes? My desires? I would like to share with everyone my ‘Movie Board,’ my ‘Dream Board.’

You have no idea, how hard this is for me! I am giving each one of you a ‘PART’ of me! 🙂

  2. Please leave me a ‘part’ of you…..
